In every project when you see them you feel like they are made for the role, that is the beauty about them. It is just beautiful how you watch them in every project doing a completely different role from what they did before. I really look up to them, they are such amazing senior actors. What was it like working with critically acclaimed senior actors like Arif Zakaria, Manish Chaudhari, Makarand Deshpande, Amit Bahl? And I am very happy with the outcome when I was wearing the uniform and I think I have done justice to my role. I did physical training for about eight months I was working out twice a day and I used to literally look forward to that one Sunday off to just sleep. I think as an actor these are the things that really make me happy, when all my characters are very different from each other. I wanted the audience to differentiate between how Jyothi in 'Scam 1992' looked versus how Manju looks in 'Shoorveer'. I was doing all this because I wanted to look in a certain way, I wanted to look like Manju. Being a food lover, it was a big task for me. I was also following a strict diet for over eight months. I constantly watched videos, especially that of female Air Force Officers to observe how they talk, sit, and how they hold the gears. I have always been a nerd in school, I always over prepared. So, then it was all on how we prepared from home. In fact, we were supposed to have training sessions which were arranged by the production team, but everything had to be cancelled because we couldn’t risk it before we started shooting. I really wanted to meet some real officers in person but it was during the Covid peak time that we started working for the show. How did you physically and mentally prepare for this role? I really wanted the audience to see me in a 360-degree different avatar and I wanted them to see me perform in this space also.

I was really looking forward to having this transition on screen. Not nervous actually, I was very excited and one of the biggest reasons for me to say yes to 'Shoorveer' was that it was different from what I have done before. What was your first reaction when this role was offered? Were you nervous given this was something very different from 'Scam 1992' and 'Ghar Set Hai'?

So yes, I am very happy to be a part of something like this. And then of course the wonderful words that were said by critics like Taran Adarsh and Komal Nahta, they said really nice things about the show. Be it my parents, my in-laws, my sister, they all were super excited and they were very happy to see me wearing the uniform. My parents were very happy and excited every time they watched me on screen. I kept dreaming to play a character like this and here I was actually wearing a uniform and performing. And when I actually played the part of an Air Force Officer, I think it was very overwhelming. I used to watch similar content and think to myself, I want to do this. When 'Shoorveer' came my way I was very excited because I think I manifested 'Shoorveer'. Whenever I watched these films, I thought to myself that I should do something like this. I have always loved films like 'Uri', 'Gunjan Saxena' and 'Neerja'. The trailer of 'Shoorveer' reminded us of films like 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', 'Gunjan Saxena' all packed in one! What kind of reactions have you received on 'Shoorveer'?
